Need to reschedule multiple scheduled work tickets? Read this article to complete this with the help of your CTRL button on your keyboard!

Purpose

Sometimes, there is a weather event that prevents you from performing services at your clients’ properties. In this scenario, you might have to reschedule many work tickets to new dates.

You now have the ability to bulk select work tickets on the Schedule Board using CTRL on your keyboard to easily move multiple work tickets.

If you have a client that is requesting that all tickets for their properties be done sooner than originally scheduled, this feature would also be useful.

Selecting Scheduled Tickets from the Schedule Board

To use Bulk Move Work Tickets, the Work Tickets must be on the schedule board. These instructions are directed towards PC type Desktop computers. To use this feature on macOS keyboards you can use CTRL + right-click to multi-select tiles.

📌 Note: Multi-select and bulk move functions are not supported on mobile devices.

  • Navigate to the scheduling module:

  • From the schedule board, press CTRL and then select the work tickets that need to be rescheduled.

    • The green border around the work tickets appears showing that you have selected them and the Bulk Move button is displayed next to the calendar picker.

    • The Bulk Move button counts the number of tickets you have selected as you choose them.

  • After selecting all work tickets, click the Bulk Move button.

  • The Routes field auto-populates routes assigned to the displayed route manager. Choose your New Visit Date from the calendar picker.

  • After Routes and New Visit Date fields are complete, click Save.

  • The schedule board will refresh on the selected date.

    • The work tickets are added to the selected route and date in the order they were originally selected.

Multi Selecting Tickets in Other Weeks

You can use Bulk Move Work Tickets to select scheduled work tickets across multiple weeks.

  • After following the process above, after selecting the tickets in the first week, release the CTRL button.

  • Use the arrow buttons in the schedule board to find the tickets from additional weeks that need to be moved.

  • Press the CTRL button again and select the additional work tickets to be moved.

  • The Bulk Move button number count will increase as the tickets are selected from the other weeks.

  • After selecting all work tickets, click the Bulk Move button.

  • The Routes field auto-populates routes assigned to the displayed route manager. Choose your New Visit Date from the calendar picker.

  • After Routes and New Visit Date fields are complete, click Save.

  • The schedule board will refresh on the selected date.

    • The work tickets are added to the selected route and date in the order they were originally selected.


Using Month View to Bulk Move Work Tickets

If you wish to select work tickets in other months, you can do this while viewing the schedule board in Month View.

🧠When using Month View, make sure your routes are selected from the Routes drop down before proceeding with Bulk Move Work Tickets.

  • After selecting all work tickets, click the Bulk Move button.

  • After Routes and New Visit Date fields are complete, click Save.

  • The schedule board will refresh with the adjusted tickets.


Things to Know when Bulk Moving Work Tickets

  • Scheduled work tickets can be un-selected if you click anywhere outside of the calendar. Even while holding CTRL, you will un-select all prior selections. Make sure you are clicking only on tickets that need to be moved!

  • If you select a scheduled work ticket in error, you can un-select tickets without having to start over.

    • While continuing to hold CTRL, select the work ticket again and it will un-select the incorrect work ticket only.
