Understanding Using Aspire Cloud in Mobile View

Learn how to identify Mobile View of Aspire and understand what's included!

Purpose

While using the Aspire Cloud on mobile devices, there are some important things to note about reduced functionality when in Mobile View. All filters, display, sorting and grouping is disabled. In the Desktop version of Aspire, these are readily available.

Mobile View of Aspire Cloud is related to your device size and display, and is not dependent on User Roles.

Read below for details on what’s available when using a mobile device with Aspire Cloud and how to request Desktop View on your browser!


What’s Available in Aspire Cloud on Mobile View

When you are using a device in the field, you might notice that you are missing some of the core functionality that you receive when using Aspire on a desktop device. Below is a list of what is included when using Mobile View vs. Desktop View of Aspire.

Identifying Mobile View on a Device

⚠️ In addition to reviewing the chart and noting the differences between the two views of Aspire, upon log in you will automatically see reduced modules and certain features within those modules have been removed.

In the image below, featured left is the Desktop View on a tablet, and on the right is Mobile View of Aspire Cloud:

More Information on Using Mobile View

There are additional things to note about using a mobile device with Aspire Cloud, below are some examples and highlights of the available modules. The below mobile device examples are from a Samsung Galaxy S23.

Activities Module

When in Mobile View with your device, you are able to see listed Activities assigned to the logged in user. You are also able to respond to issues and create any new Activity except a milestone.

Contacts Module

When in Mobile View, you will need to search manually to locate a contact record.

You will not be able to see the next Activities, Attachments, or Custom Fields. The Property section, Notification Logs, Payroll, Pay Rates, HR section or Scorecards section. Bulk actions are disabled within the Contacts module. You can still create new contacts while working in Mobile View.

Properties Module

Like with the Contacts module, you’ll need to search manually to locate a property record. Bulk actions are disabled.

Once you have searched for your property, there is some reduced functionality that you should be aware of. You cannot see the notification log, but you can see the Next Activity section and Contacts that are tied to the property you are viewing.

Issues are visible as well as the Production Manager for the property. You will not be able to see the property account balance, previous or next visit information, company, or account owner when in Mobile View.


Reasoning Behind Why Some Tablets Auto Choose Mobile View

Using a tablet under the guidelines of the Aspire Recommended and Minimum Requirements is the best way to understand if your device will default to using Aspire Cloud in Mobile View.

Sometimes, there are devices that have a higher Screen Resolution, but their Viewport is less than 1024 x 768. They will automatically use Mobile View for Aspire Cloud.

To understand Viewport: Screen Resolution is the number of physical pixels present on a screen. Viewport is the number of software pixels present on a screen.

Common devices that might auto choose Mobile View include the iPad Mini or Samsung Galaxy Tab S9.

Sometimes, when using your device in the field, your browser will support using Desktop View, which can be configured in your browser settings.

Switching your Device to Desktop View

Some browsers support a Desktop View of websites. Read below for how to navigate out of Mobile View for additional usage of Aspire Cloud while out in the field!

📌Note: If your device does not support Aspire because it is outside of the Minimum Requirements, these steps will not impact your experience. You might want to consider using alternative devices or update your operating system.

For Chrome

  • Enter cloud.youraspire.com into your mobile device. Then, click the triple dots in the upper right of the screen.

  • Check the Desktop site checkbox to then use the Desktop version of Aspire.


For Safari

  • Enter cloud.youraspire.com into your mobile device. Then, click the AA in the upper left of the screen.

  • Select Request Desktop Website to use the Desktop version of Aspire.


For Edge

  • Enter cloud.youraspire.com into your mobile device. Then, click the three dots at the bottom of the screen.

  • Select View Desktop site.
