Purpose:
When setting up catalog items, Item Name, Item Alternate Name and Item Code are available fields. The chart below provides what areas of Aspire this information is available to see so the right decision can be made during the initial setup of your system.

Estimating Screen:
Item Name and Item Alternate Name are available in estimating screen.
Estimating: Advanced Item Search
Item Name is available in advanced Item Search.
Auto Kitting:
Auto Kitting allows you to bulk generate kits by combining materials and "sub kits". When these two items combine it uses the Item Name from each item and combines into one kit.
Item Name is available when Auto-Kitting.
⚠️ This means that the Item Alternate Name is not used during the Auto Kit process.
Opportunity Proposals:
When requesting layout revisions for Opportunity Proposals, Item Name and Alternate Item Name are available to display item detail. One or both can be displayed.
Work Ticket Detail:
Found when clicking into material cost inside a work ticket.
Item Name is available in work ticket detail.
Time Entry:
Found when allocating inventory from time entry screen.
Item Name and Item Code are available in time entry.
Crew Mobile:
Item Name is available in Crew Mobile.
Found from the estimated material list on the work ticket.
Found when searching inventory items not estimated on the work ticket.
Purchasing Assistant List:
Item Name, Item Alternate Name, and Item Code are available in the Purchasing Assistant list.
Purchase Receipt Detail:
When searching item catalog to add items to a purchase receipt, Item Name or Item Code can be used. Once the item is added to the receipt, Item Name will display.
Purchase Receipt Layout:
When making revisions to Purchase receipt layouts, Item Name, Alternate Item Name, and Item Code are available to display on printed receipts.
Invoice Layouts:
When making revisions to invoice layouts, Item Name is available to display on printed invoices for Time & Material and Fixed Price on Completion Invoice Types.
Inventory Administration List:
Item Name is available in inventory admin list.
Purchase Pivot Table:
Item Name is available in Purchase Pivot and is labeled "Allocation Name."
End of Month Inventory List:
Item Name is available in End of Month Inventory List.
